Cole Soileau is a multi-talented American musician hailing from Opelousas, Louisiana, who has since established his base in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas. As the sole creative force behind his self-titled solo project, Cole Soileau is a true multi-instrumentalist, proficiently handling drums, guitar, bass, and vocals.
His unique sound Born out of Austin is a powerful blend, best described as emo rap rock, drawing on a diverse set of influences. He cites the raw intensity of Grunge music, the rhythm and poetry of rap and hip hop, the emotion of emo, and the innovative soundscapes of artists like Kurt Cobain, Lil Peep, Ekkstacy, Max Fry, Turnstile, and Linkin Park.
The year 2025 marked a significant step in his career as he began work on his debut EP, a collection of six songs that promises to showcase his distinct fusion of genres. Looking ahead, Soileau plans to take his music to the stage in 2026, where he will begin performing live shows and releasing more new material.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Cole Soileau is also known as a strong and outspoken ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
